The fishing in Naples has finally felt like winter. The water has finally reached the 60s and right where it’s supposed to be for January.
We have switched gears into shrimp and artificials. With the water cooling these winter species all thrive this time of year. For the backcountry it’s been a nice mix bag of trout, sheep head, mangrove snapper, and the redfish have been going gangbusters on anything in there face. Also, a few snook and pompano in the mix. For the offshore. Weather pending, obviously. Also a nice mix bag. Most of the larger Snook have moved off to the inshore wrecks. All eating shrimp as well. Also snapper and sheep head on these same wrecks. Also possibly Cobia or permit in the mix too. Maybe a triple tail or Bonitas on the way! Some things have settled down after the holidays, but we are still very busy. Also Tarpon and Permit season’s getting booked up fast. Reach out to any one of our captains for your families Charter. Thank you the Bedell Captain’s.
