As we enter April and Easter week fishing remains as solid as it’s ever been. The permit and cobia are still everywhere!
We’re starting to see a more of a spring like pattern. We are able to reach out and get to the schools of fish that are just all over any Inshore wrecks that you like to pick. Most of the schools are all up high and make for amazing site fishing opportunities. A well placed crab, fly, Pilchard, jig, topwater, plug or even the kitchen sink has been working sometimes. After we get these last season, fronts and these little windy days are getting shorter and shorter right after these fish are looking for food and have been waiting for us every day. With it being the holidays, we are extremely busy, but with that being said a lot of it is last minute shoppers and we have been able to fill our schedules with these cancellations or people rushing to find a charter. So please reach out to anyone of our Captains tight lines and we will see you on the water. Thank you the Bedell Captains.

Well with March we all know it means wind, and yes we have it, lots of it! We did have a small window of to get out there earlier in the week but we were chased off by raging winds and rising seas.
When this happens we put all of our resources into the inshore and back country fishery. We have places to hide from the wind and traffic. A lot of the spots this week have been producing lots of mixed bag of different species! Some Juvenile Tarpon have filled into some of the coves in the back which are always fun on light tackle. The snook and redfish seem to be on every corner and another way to fill the gaps. Also some trout and mangrove snapper coming home for dinner! March and April seem to be the busiest months of the year for us and our calendars are exploding. We have added online booking to make life easier for everyone. Pick your day, pick your time, pick your boat, let us do the rest! Looking forward to seeing everyone on the water. Thank you the Bedell Captains! |
