We love fishing in May and this is why! The options are limitless. Actually, anything can swim around the boat this time of the year.. 

The permit of obviously been the staple in the big girls have just showed up. We’ve been catching steady solid fish of the 20 to 25 pound range but the big 30s and 35s have showed up lots of fish everywhere. Most of these fish have been site fished and up high with some amazing opportunities. 

Obviously, the mix bag options have been all over the board. With kingfish, barracuda, and a few straggler cobia still hanging on till the last of spring. 

The tarpon fishing Ihas been a little off this year. Some of our colleagues and ourselves are really starting to scratch our head. The fish should’ve been here a month ago. We have put a few up in the air but the numbers are just not here yet.

This is the time of year where you pick your perfect day and you knock your bucket list fish that you’ve been waiting to do. Our schedules are slowing down and we get to cherry pick tides and weather this time of the year so there’s no forced charters. We sit back and align the stars and give you the day that you desire.

We have entered the last month of spring and one of our favourite months to fish! Permit are everywhere. Cobia are sitting thin out and the tarpon are starting to swim! 

Offshore has been steady with Permit. Unfortunately, we are still getting these late season fronts and they are not letting us go where we need to go. 

With that being said, we have been concentrating our efforts in the back on these 25+ west wind days are impossible to go offshore! 

With the backcountry Thriving with juvenile Tarpon, lots of snook lots of Redfish and Jack’s everywhere. It’s been plenty of things to keep our clients busy. 

This is a perfect time of year to cherry pick your best day. We have availability on our schedule to do that this time of year, so no picking bad weather days.

Also, this is a perfect opportunity to check some of these specialty fish off of your bucket list with incredible site fishing and amazing fishing just around every corner.
