Thank you, Capt. Wes!
We snuck out for probably one of the last permit trips of the summer. The Gulf is littered with hurricanes right now. Hopefully these fish will be around for a few more weeks with good weather pending. The back has been solid! There has been a plethora of beautiful pilchards everywhere you want to go. The Bait is one and done with all the pearls you need for a perfect day of fishing. There’s been lots of variety in the back, lots of Snook, juvenile Tarpon, jacks mangrove snapper and the fall redfish have started to show up as well. This is usually the off-season for us this time of the year but with everything that’s been going on we have been staying very steady. Lots of people shopping, a few booking. We have plenty of room in our calendars for your parties up to 4 Angler’s. This is the perfect time of the year to get on the water and catch some variety! Hope to see you all very soon, tight lines!
Thank you, Capt. Wes!
On a Mission Charters had Michael Walker from the Jacksonville Jaguars on our boat last week. This was the second attempt out they lost some monsters the previous week. He was looking for some redemption, and found it!
The permit game has been solid in our region. Unfortunately, mother nature rain wind and unstable weather has prevented us from making it out there this week. So we have switched gears to the back. Some of the beach bait is growing in size and starting to be usable snook and redfish has been solid there has been a few Tarpon on the beach still plenty of things to find.
Please give us a call or email if you have any charter questions. Any of our captains are very knowledgeable and can help you with your questions on booking your personalized Charter.
Thank you, Capt and Wes Bedell
The Permit game in Naples Florida has been the complete go to! It’s real easy to go buy a few dozen crabs and go sight cast these beautiful fish. Also been some very large barracudas on these wrecks that fill in the gap’s when the permit do not show right away.
The inshore game has become almost strictly artificial‘s. The bait in our region in Southwest Florida has vanished. We have been able to gold hook threads offshore when we can find them but those baits are just a little too big for the back country fish. The Tarpon on the Beach haven’t seem to mind them or the snook inn the passes. Also we have have been throwing a variety of soft plastics and top water plugs in the back depending on conditions.
It seems like everyone’s vacation plans are all over the board our calendars are ironically busy for the off-season fishing is very good right now and we usually take advantage of this on our own but luckily we are having some nice clients come down and book this beautiful weather!
Please call email or contact any of our captains at on a mission charters in beautiful Naples Florida, looking forward to hearing from you soon. tight lines Captain Wes!
Fishing in Naples, Florida has been as good as it gets! With beautiful weather on both side of trips, we are at our favorite time of the year. With the start of our morning trips we have been fishing for Tarpon and monster Snook on the Beach. All of these site fishing challenges bring a intense feeling to the game. Just to watch these trophy fish eat at the boat is why we love our jobs. Look at these smiles, the stoke it is very real!
The spring transition into summer as some of the best fishing of the year. We look forward to these months these tides these fish all year long. It’s a very very special time of the year, and we love to pass these memories on to our clients.
The offshore fishing has been amazing as well. Permit continue to litter the Wrecks. Toss your crab into a school of 25 fish and watch them fight over it. Just about as good as it gets. There have been lots of other species to target when the permit are not cooperating. Barracudas, sharks, massive Jacks even some big cobia have been patrolling these Wrecks.
We have been fishing everywhere from Naples, Marco and to the 10,000 islands. If you are anywhere in this area please contact us for your amazing fishing experience.
Thank you and tight lines,

The Tarpon fishing in our area has been about as good as it gets. We have fish all over the beaches and the back country, ranging from sizes from 5 pounds to triple digits. We have been using a lot of different strategies to target these fish. In the skiff has been flies, artificial, live and dead bait.
On the bigger boat we have been using crabs and pilchards. But again on that boat it’s only one person on the bow at a time so if you bring four on your party someone’s going to get left out, we try to accommodate every Angler but a lot of these shots are one person only!
As of the offshore fishing we have had a little unstable weather on us for the last week or so. We know the Fish are there, we just not cannot get to them. Next week weather is looking beautiful, we are coming into the month of June, that’s when we get milk pond conditions most of the time. We do have some availability in the month of June, but we are filling up fast Florida is open and coming back to life. So if you have any plans for fishing, please let us know as soon as possible. We thank you very much, tight lines, stay safe, hope to see you soon. Thank you Captain Wes

Well just like clockwork, the Tarpon have shown up. The weather and water have been as clean as is gets! We are not seeing the huge numbers like May & June, but enough fish to target in the mornings. Permit are showing up on the wrecks offshore, same story as the tarpon, few fish hear and there. Water temps just aren’t where they need to be yet.
There also have been some king fish barracuda Bonita and lots of sharks on all of the offshore wrecks.
Backcountry game has been good when you can get away from the traffic. With this pandemic there is been a huge flux of everyone going on their boat because that is all there is to do. We have had lots of cancellations, we have rebooked those trips, and then have them cancel again, we are still able to work. I do have some availability left please if you would like to get out and enjoy some beautiful weather and an amazing fishing please give us a call.
Thank you. tight lines,
The offshore game is starting to come alive. Barracudas, Bonita’s, sharks, even some permit started showing up. We have been stocked full of these drag screaming game fish. The wind has been light. The seas have been calm, and the game fish have been cooperating. We’ve been seeing some very large schools of permit tailing, bobbing but just not interested yet. Hopefully this week we will be able to close that deal.
In the back. Has been steady as well. Snook jacks trout pompano sheep head redfish mackerel have all been steady characters in the back. Even a few juvenile tarpon have shown up.
We have obviously had a few cancellations with this world scare going on. Also have had a flux of Floridians and locals filling those gaps. We still have some availability in the next few weeks so please come get some great fishing and clean air!!
Tight lines Capt. Wes
Naples, Florida Inshore and Offshore Fishing Charters
The fishing these past few weeks have been amazing for this time of year. Back to back cold fronts have kept the water cold, and the fish hungry!
We have been catching a lot of winter time residents black drum trout snapper sheepshead, even a few snook and redfish in the mix.
This winter time pattern should be over soon , Spring is around the corner and our schedule is filling up amazingly fast. I am booking 2 to 3 charters a day for spring so please book your trips accordingly.
Thanks and as always, tight lines!

The winter fishing is in full effect. Water temps plummet into the low 60s for our region. Artificial’s & live shrimp have been working so good, the fish are starving and not going to turn down a meal.
Redfish, black drum, sheephead, trout have been the norm this week. There has still been some triple tail around the numbers are dwindling a little bit but there still are some big fish around. We are making the transition in the February this week looking forward to some things warming up & the arrival of a early spring. We still have some availability left in February and March please feel free to contact us about your parties.
