The fishing in Southwest Florida this week has taken a trip back to January. We were blasted with a March cold front this week has plummeted the water 12° colder overnight. North east winds 20 miles an hour plus very dirty water makes fishing very difficult. Our captains are still making it happen! Lots of great table fair, and dinner for all of our clients. Lots of catches this week in the back country with redfish, sheepshead, mangrove snapper, trout even a few snook.
With this cold front obviously has shut down the offshore fishery in our area. All of the large sport fishing boats and head boats are fishing the back as well. By mid week we are hoping the winds turn more east and will clear the waters up for the rest of the month. In that aspect we have very limited space in our calendars for March. Also the first two weeks of April are almost fully booked. If you would like to book a charter with any of our captains, please contact us as soon as possible. We would like to get you and your family on the water the best we can.
