We wait for these months all year. Finally, The stars aligned and everything came together for one of the best weeks of permit fishing I have ever seen. Truckloads, upon truckloads of permit everywhere. It's probably been over a decade since I have seen the numbers of fish in our area right now. Call it the hurricane, call it conservation, or I'm not sure what you call it but we are not complaining. 20 fish tagged and released this week with many more monsters lost. I do have a few days available left this month if someone would like to take the permit trip of a lifetime, this is the time of the year to do it.

The fishing is been consistent this week. Lots of snook in the bottom of the slot to the top of the slot. We have put a few big tarpon in the air this week along with some juveniles. Bait has been fantastic, the red tide is gone, and if we could just get this inconsistent wind to stop and the stars to align, good things are going to happen in the next few weeks. tight lines everybody and hopefully see you soon.
Capt. Wes Bedell Naples Offshore & Inshore Fishing Charters Fishing is slowly getting back to normal in Naples Florida. The water temperatures are in the mid-70s where they need to be, and hopefully the winds will stay light for the next couple weeks and let us capitalize on all the migratory fish that move into our area. Been seeing a few Tarpon a few permit unfortunately without any luck getting any to the boat. It's really nice when the Cudas cooperate at least they still jump and scream the drag.
So hopefully from here on out fishing will be on the up and up and finally the time a year we wait for! Capt. Wes Bedell Naples Offshore & Inshore Fishing Charters |
