Spring has sprung early down here in Southwest Florida. The fishing has gone absolutely berserk overnight. Water temperature is almost 10° warmer than they this time last week. Bait is plentiful, weather has been very fair and fishing has been off the charts. Offshore fishing has been really good, been lots of kingfish, cobia even seeing a few triple tail in the mix. With the Plan B fishing in the back country has been on fire as well, we have lost some really big snook at the boat this week lots of big jacks and redfish around. Even some juvenile Tarpon showing up in the back this week, I have even seen a few rouge triple digit tarpon the beach, it's only going to get better people so please hurry up and book your trips now. I have only a few dates left in March.
Seems like mother nature has been giving us a few breaks in the weather. One week of blustery winds, the next week absolutely breathless. The fishing has been hit or miss with the weather. When we are able to get offshore there's been a fair amount of kingfish and barracudas to keep everyone happy. The transition in the back country has still been sheep head and black drum for table fair and then some nice snook and Big jacks and juvenile tarpon in the mix as well.

Well this past week has been one of the best tripletail fishing weeks of my career. Multiple fish in the 10 to 20 pound range are everywhere. With one of the largest ones of the year coming in this week at 18 pounds. Lots of other fish in the 12 to 14 pound range came home for some tasty dinners for my clients. Lots of good reports from my colleagues as well putting large numbers of these dinosaur looking fish to the table.
My calendar is filling up very fast, please don't hesitate to book your charters as soon as you know your party is available.
Thank you Capt Wes!
This past week produced lots of good dinners for my clients. We were able to sneak out one day last week and do some great tripletail fishing, other than that we've been dealing with low temperatures and wind's in the 20 to 30 mile an hour range. So to get away from all that we've been hiding back in the creeks and catching lots of black drum and sheephead. I have a few openings left in my calendar this week so please give us a call.
Thank you Capt. Wes
This week the family fun fishing has been plentiful. Nothing really huge coming over the rail, but lots of good tasting fish for the whole family. We are blessed with another beautiful week of weather, and my calendar is filling up fast, there's been some more triple tail around and the Bonita and the king fish have seem to have shown back up. Please call or email ahead of time to get yourself the best available days.
Thank you, Captain Wes
We struck triple tail gold last week between the cold fronts. Finally got some calm seas and fair weather so we were able to run some traps and find some beautiful fish for my clients. If you can get lucky enough to time your trips between these massive fronts that we have had fishing has been really really good.

Well full blown winter is upon us here in SW Florida. With the abundance of back to back cold fronts, and 15-20 knt. winds, fishing has become where is a good place to hind. The creeks have been paying off nicely. Lots of trout, pompano, sheephead, black drum and a variety of snappers. All of those species are great table fair, which makes this weather doable.
Come fishing, on a mission!

It has been a crazy pre-Christmas fishing week in our area. All of the. Spring and summer time species are around and very accessible. As long as the water stays in the mid-70s it looks like 2018 should be red hot. Only have a few available dates well into the mid week of January please try to call ahead of time to book your trips.
Thanks Capt Wes!
As we approach the week before Christmas, I have stumbled across a summer like permit bite. Water temps have been remarkably high for this time of the year and the fish that we love to chase and pursue are here by the truckloads. Been putting large numbers up on each trip. Along with a nice mix bag of limits on mangrove Lane snapper's and a few muttons as well. The forecast is supposed to be in the 80s for the next 10 to 14 days right up into the new year just have a few openings left so please book your trip.
Post Hurricane Irma fishing has been surprisingly better than anticipated. Big Snook and Redfish are just about eating everything you throw at them. Bait has been ridiculously easy, "one & done" has been the norm. Which makes fishing incredibly easy & more enjoyable for all my anglers! The Bonita and Spanish Mackerel all up and down the beaches destroying glass-minnows, and if you really feel like pulling on something the Black tips and spinner sharks are not far behind them. I have been seeing some of the Stone crab captain's putting out some pots, which means triple tail fishing is around the corner. This is shaping up to be a great fall season for us, so please give us a call and we'd love to get you on the water.
Check back weekly for current Naples, FL fishing reports.
